Metal forming

Metal forming is the process wherein the metallic components can be shaped in a similar manner of that to the molding of pottery. A raw material of a fundamental shape can be provided by processes such as power consolidation, casting, electric deposition and earlier forming processes. The deformation of process is very much like wax or soft clay. Even in case of a solid state, permanent changes can be forced on the displacement of relative positions between various material points. For enforcing these changes, there is an application of external forces. Soft plasticine can also be molded by toddler fingers for the formation of metals. Specially constructed tools are used. They are usually made from hard materials.
